Power steering failure while driving in a parking lot and turning into a parking space. Steering became stiff and warning lights turned on indicating that there was a loss power steering, traction control, and hill assist. There were no indications prior to the failure that the system was failing or damaged. The vehicle has never been in an accident. Ford service has indicated that the "steering gear" has failed and the replacement part is "indefinitely backordered. " the vehicle has 47,900 miles on the odometer.
