Vehicle's back up camera was only working intermittently, then stopped working all together. Error code (per dealership, c1001 I think but may be incorrect code) indicates a problem with the wiring that connects the camera to the center console.
Backup camera doesn't work. Checked automotive blogs, seems like a common problem. Wiring harness is crimped by deck lid. Made appointment for warranty work. Seems to be of poor design. Wondering why a service bulletin hasn't been issued. Concerned regarding future problems when not under warranty. Ford should issue a service bulletin. Poorly designed component.
