My engine started knocking/ticking at around 6,000 miles, shortly after my first oil change. I was aware of the knocking issies, thanks to numerous youtube videos, before I even recieved my special order Mustang so I made sure to use the same oil and filter that originally came with my car. Now the car has 18,500 miles on it, the knocking/ticking is getting worse and worse every year and Ford is calling the problem "normal" and refuses to do any repairs. The car has now been unsuccessfully serviced 3 times and should now be placed under the lemon law.
For three years, this Mustang will lurch frequently after you shift into first or reverse from park. I had it looked at paradise Ford 3 years ago and they refused to look at transmission until the car had 125k miles on it. At that time, the car only had 98k miles on it. I tried to insist, but they refused. The service helper was named mark, I believe. The other day I was driving on a 10mph park road . . . . . More like coasting because it was a low speed limit. The car suddenly jerked forward. Today I took it into gary yeoman Ford in palm bay, FL for a transmission check. The service advisor was jason. They said there was a cdf hub issue and stated I needed a new transmission for 6600. 00. Of course I refused and came home to research their "diagnosis". I found an article about a,10r80 bushing that has caused the same exact problem is other Mustangs. I feel like they were giving me the run around. I don't want this to cause further problems. It should have been fixed at paradise Ford. I have owned this car for 5. 5 years. I'm quite familiar with how it runs. Please advise.
So at cold start when driving withing 1800-2600 I get this rattle piston slap on the bottom of the engine. I checked fluids not low on engine oil. Once engine gets hot itll stop. However it does increase if I accelerate. It's been happening next day I got my car I realized it.
At acceleration the car won't shift when needed then it'll automatically down shift and stop accelerating. The rpm gage needle bounces up & down with & with acceleration imaged speed still decreases then something catches and it'll start accelerating & rpm going to high then starts all over before finally working right.
I have the exact problem as NHTSA case number 11187080. I bought it new. Now has about 11000. Have taken it to two different Ford dealers and both have said that they cannot find anything wrong and it operates as it should. I plan to taken it back in again and show them the other NHTSA complaints.
Purchased a 2018 Ford Mustang sport edition and twice now once at about 15,000 miles and again at 20,000 miles, I lose half my power and the orange wrench light comes on. Ford has had my car for 4 days and does not know the cause of the problem.

I purchased a new 2018 Ford Mustang 2 dr 4 cyl ecoboost on July 9th 2018. On August 15, after having dinner with parents at the house, I went to visit some friends in davie and it was aprox 7:45 pm while driving on a 4 lane road divided by a median. Road has frequent speedbumps and the median has mature trees. While traveling on this road - I felt nauseous and placed both hands on the steering wheel and suddenly the road became blurry and I lost conciousness and struck a tree in the median. The car caught on fire and according to a police officer, he tried to revive me and to help me get out, however my legs were broken and injured. My right leg was broken and my left leg was badly injured. I was wearing a high boot on the left foot and no boot on the right foot in order to be able to drive comfortably. Seconds after the police officer removed me from the car, the car exploded. I believe that I was sold a defective car that leaked poisenous gases which caused me to pass out and crash I to a tree. Had it not been for the police officer, I would have died trapped in the burning car.
Significant engine rattle between 2000-2500 rpm under light load. Rattle is loudest in third gear at 2200 rpm. Service technician duplicated the engine rattle and found damage to cylinders 5-8 and submitted his report along with photos to Ford. The technician recommended full engine replacement. Ford only approved a new short block.
