"takata recall" I have been trying to get an appointment to have this air bag replaced. This is safety recall notice19s01 / NHTSA recall 19v-010. It is on a 2009 Ford Ranger pickup. It has been 3 months sense I went in to schedule an appointment, been back in 2 more times t see what the hold up is & I get the run around. I just called Ford motors and they suggested that I go to a dealer 30 miles away. My local dealer where I bought the truck new is less than 1 mile away. That is fox motors of Cadillac, michigan, their phone number is 231-775-3448. My phone number is 231-775-6732.
I have received three airbag safety recall notices 18s01 with hone number 866-436-7332 & 866-436-7332 but when I call they do not recognize the recall number so am not able to schedule an appointment. My second problem is I live in alaska on an island the nearest Ford dealer is 300 miles by ferry it takes about 14 hours one way to get to a dealer for repairs. Even if I get approval it would cost at least $1000. For ferry ticket for the car and driver, hotel, food to get to juneau. I would appricate a reply on the raecall issue from you.

Takata recall. . . I started getting letters from Ford addressing the recall as it pertained to my Ford in July of 2016. I have received two subsequent letters from them stating to come in immediately to get the car repaired. In both cases they told me there were no parts available to fix my truck. The latest letter, April 2018 again said that parts were available and to bring my truck in for repair. I have called both galpin Ford and sunrise Ford and they claim they do not have the parts and there is no eta for their arrival. In the mean ime anyone travelling in the passenger seat of my truck is in danger. Ford should be criminally and civilly liable for this situation. Their website states they do not offer loaner cars relating to this recall.
