The missing bracket might cause the structural performance of the bed to fail. The vehicle was taken to the dealer; however, the vehicle was not inspected or repaired. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 10,000.
