Steering Problems of Ford Ranger - part 2

The contact owns a 1997 Ford Ranger. While traveling 10 mph attempting a left hand turn the contact noticed that the steering wheel would no longer respond causing the contact to lose control of the vehicle. The steering wheel could be turned in any direction but the wheels would not respond to the movement. The vehicle was towed to a local mechanic where the contact was informed that the steering box had separated from the vehicle. There were no prior warnings and the failure was not diagnosed. The current and failure mileages were 85000.

The contact owns a 2006 Ford Ranger. The contact stated that his vehicle started to shake excessively when he applied the brakes. The contact is concerned about the safety risk involved while driving since the failure has occurred whenever he drove more than 20 mph. Occasionally while driving the vehicle it became difficult to control. The failure mileage was 25,000. The current mileage was 27,000.

The contact owns a 2009 Ford Ranger. While driving various speeds, the vehicle vibrates excessively. The contact took the vehicle to the dealer and they stated that it was a normal characteristic of the vehicle. The failure has not been remedied. He called the manufacturer, but has not received a response. The failure mileage was 12 and current mileage was 4,140. Shirt & coat sleeve buttons catch in steering wheel. Between horn & steering wheel.

The steering mechanism would lock up, unable to start vehicle. Between putting it between park and drive it would start by shifting it. Local Ford dealers would state nothing was wrong with it. Now, I need to replace the battery every three months. Now it won't even start. Starter is okay because when I turn it over it clicks. It's not the fx package, a 2002 Ford Ranger.

The prolbem with this truck seating at the light the seat seems little be high can not see the street traffic light if you the first one, secondly the turning radius it is terrible when you turn to the left only goes 3/4 of the way while other trucks can turn 180 degrees one way it is fine to the left but to the right not good. This problem since we own the truck.

While driving on highway, traveling 25mph, and exiting off the ramp, all of sudden lost control of steering. Left side of bumper hit the side rails. Wheel was wobbling. No skidding. Contacted dealer. Vehicle is still under warranty.
