Several warning lights, which included: abs failure, parking assist failure, lane avoidance failure, traction control failure, as well as having steering difficulty. ( mileage 24500 ). The problem was found by dealer to be an eletrical connector underneath the vehicle at the mid point, with their belief that it was corrosion, which I believe to be a defective component and design. I contacted Ford but they were not interested in retrevale of the connector, so as to diagnose the failure. ( I am keeping the connector ).

Once the "maintenace required" message is displayed on the "multi-information display" (shortly prior to standard maintenance intervals), it is permanently displayed . Once the message is displayed, "meter control switches" no longer function (until reset by dealer maintenance). Enabling any adas feature (if not enabled) is impossible as this requires using the "meter control switches. " while stopped (or not), resetting the "message indicating maintenance" procedure in the user manual does not work (page 447 in [xxx] ) as it requires functional "meter control switches": ?resetting the message indicating maintenance is required after the required maintenance is performed according to the maintenance schedule, please reset the reminder light or message. To reset the reminder light or message, follow the procedure described below: 1 press or of the meter control switches and select on the multi-information display. 2 press or of the meter control switches and select “vehicle settings”. Then press and hold . 3 press or of the meter control switches and select “scheduled maintenance”. Then press . 4 select “yes” and press . Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).

Lane departure features is excessive. I've twice now had to make an emergency lane change to avoid an accident occurring in front of me and the lane keep assist almost forced me back into the lane and potentially causing me to get in an accident. I have had to turn this feature off entirely, which means I do not benefit from it in normal conditions. The only way to deactivate the lane keep assist when changing lanes is to use a turn signal. You cannot use a turn signal in emergency situations where it's either you quickly change lanes or you get in an accident at high speed on the highway. No, I'm not tailgating. . . The reality is this stuff happens and these "safety" solutions that take control of the steering wheel are not safe if they cannot tell there's an emergency situation happening. I cannot have the steering wheel resisting my input when I'm avoiding an accident. I need full control. This is poorly designed.
