Faulty emergency brake cables caused rear brakes to overheat and brake system to fail (brake pedal to floor) at 60 mph. Brakes returned to normal when wheel cylinders cooled.
After parking vehicle, setting parking brake and turning off engine the driver left vehicle. The vehicle rolled out of the parking space backwards, onto a busy street and eventually came to a stop when it rolled into a parked vehicle.
