It ran through a hedge and struck a tree after traveling about 10 feet. The car sustained about $6000 damage and, despite the fact I (sally) was wearing my safety belt, I sustained a cracked sturnum. Prior to this event, my husband was concerned about how close the brake and accelerator pedals were together. He mentioned this to me many times, but we never contacted Ford about it. The car still has the same pedals. I wear a 9. 5 b shoe and robert wears an 11d.
