2002 Ford Taurus. The consumer states the starter motor had to be replaced. The vehicle would not start and it had to be towed to the dealership. They replaced the starter motor. This happened on October 4, 2005. There were no problems with the vehicle prior to this. The consumer stated the warranty expired on August 24, 2005 and the roadside assistance expired also. Dt: the inside dash lights and power windows come on intermittently. When the vehicle would not start, the consumer took it in and had the battery and starter tested. The mechanic told the consumer they were fine. The consumer took the vehicle to the dealer, they reprogrammed the key, replaced the battery and the starter and they all said that they could not find the problem at all, which lead the consumer to believe that it was an electrical issue.
