Engine cradle rotting, mechanics said it's a common problem for the make and model.
When driving my car I have been involved in 2 wrecks because of this problem when trying to stop quickly the car does not stop the traction light comes on and the car continues to roll. I had a front end collision and my air bags never deployed I was traveling about 35-40 mph. I bought the car from jd byrider. This is not the first time this car has done this meaning stopping but the air bag deployment this is the first time. I had my kids and grandkids in the car on each time this happened and I fill if I continue driving this car with these problems something serious is going to happpen next time.
Paint on my 2008 Ford Taurus limited is peeling off in chunks and bubbling up in other spots. Both rear wheel areas, spoiler and probably more yet to be discovered. I have vistied our local Ford dealership in 2012 and 2013 and I am being told there is nothing that can be done to correct this issue. I have also contacted Ford on multiple occasions and was told this issue was outside of warranty period. Understand this is a Ford issue. They are selling an inferior product that needs to be rectified. So we spend 20-30k on a car to have it look nice for a few years and then must pay someone to repaint the entire car or fix the area's bubbling? how should the consumer be held accountable for an issue that happened in the factory? at this point Ford needs to step up to the plate and take ownership of issues in there paint plants. . . . After this experience I will never purchase another Ford vehicle.
2008 Ford Taurus x has a defect in the hood as follows: the hood has corrosion because the aluminum hood is reacting to the steel inserts that are between the inside and outside layers of the hood. It is called galvanic corrosion and should be paid for by Ford since it is a design flaw. The problem started when the vehicle had 10,000 miles on it. It now has 17,000 miles and Ford has rejected the claim because it is past the 3 year warranty. The vehicle is still in the power train warranty. Ford states it will not repair the vehicle unless there is a recall.
I have purchased a 2008 Ford Taurus x vehicle. This vehicle consistently leaks water. The interior smells of mold and mildew and the carpet area on the front and rear passenger areas are soaked when it rains. Also of note on a different instance the water soaked the headliner area as well.
