Tire Sidewall problem #1

This complaint is concerning the michelin tires that came as oe on this car. The sidewalls of these tires began cracking that was first noticed at this date. The cracking has continued to get worst and as of this date I feel that the tires are creating a safety issue and are not reliable. These problem has also occurred with several other people that have these tires on the same cars. This is a common well known problem among owners of this car equipped with these michelin tires. However, as of this date neither Ford nor michelin will acknowledge or act on this problem. These are michelin primacy mxv tires in size: 245/45r20. Currently there is 19,000 miles on these tires and they have been rotated on a regular basis.

Tire Pressure Monitoring System problem #2

The contact owns a 2010 Ford Taurus. While driving unknown speeds, the traction control, low tire pressure, and check steering warning lights illuminated and the power steering stopped working. As a result, the contact lost control of the vehicle and went off road. There were no injuries and a police report was not filed. The dealer stated that the steering column motor might need to be replaced. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 98,000.
