Tl the contact owned a 2011 Ford Taurus. The contact stated while driving at approximately 65 mph the contact lost consciousness after a buck collided with the front of her vehicle. The contact did not recall if the brake pedal was depressed. The air bags did deploy however smoke was released from the air bag after it ruptured. The vehicle was towed to an auto body shop however the insurance company deemed the vehicle a total loss. The impact of the crash was on the passenger's side of the vehicle. The contact sustained multiple internal injuries and a police report was filed. The manufacturer was not notified of this failure. The approximate failure mileage was 65,000. The contact was referencing NHTSA campaign number: 16v247000 (air bags) as a cause of the failure the vehicle was not included in the recall.
