The contact had received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v611000 (structure); however, the local dealer informed the contact that the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that 2 years prior to receiving the recall notification, the trim on the driver's and passenger side had blown off, and the trim pieces were replaced out of pocket. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not informed of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 105,000.

2 Structure problem

Failure Date: 11/07/2025

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Taurus. The contact received notifications of NHTSA campaign numbers: 25v695000 (back over prevention) and 25v611000 (structure); however, the parts to complete the recall repairs were not yet available. The dealer was not contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time to complete the recall repairs. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact had not experienced a failure.

3 Structure problem

Failure Date: 09/18/2025

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Taurus. The contact received notifications of NHTSA campaign numbers: 25v611000 (structure) and 25v695000 (back over prevention). However, the parts to do the recall repairs were not yet available. The contact stated that while washing the vehicle, the silver paint on the driver side was peeling. The paint near the driver’s side mirror was peeling. Upon further investigation, the contact noticed that the passenger’s side had started peeling as well. The vehicle was not taken to the dealer or an independent mechanic. The vehicle was not repaired. Most recently, the exterior vent under the windshield wipers was fractured. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The failure mileage was unknown.

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Taurus. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v611000 (structure); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The dealer was contacted, and the contact was informed that parts were not yet available. In addition, the contact was informed that the parts might not be available for several months. The contact stated that with the unrepaired recall, the vehicle could not be registered at the department of motor vehicles. The manufacturer was contacted, but provided no assistance. The contact was informed that the parts were not yet available. The contact was advised to contact the NHTSA hotline to report the failure. The contact had not experienced a failure.

5 Structure problem

Failure Date: 09/15/2025

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Taurus. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v611000 (structure); however, the part to do the recall repair was unavailable. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The contact stated that the b-pillar trim had detached from the vehicle. The contact purchased a replacement trim, and the dealer, clay maxey Chevrolet, inc. (1413 hwy 62 e, mountain home, ar 72653); replaced the trim. The dealer was contacted and stated that the part was not yet available for the recall repair. A second dealer was contacted, morlan - shell Ford inc, (1824 porter wagoner blvd, west plains, mo 65775); confirmed that the part was not yet available. The second dealer informed the contact that several other vehicle owners had been waiting for the recall repair since 2024. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The failure mileage was approximately 60,000.

6 Structure problem

Failure Date: 03/15/2023

The contact owns a 2018 Ford Taurus. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 25v611000 (structure); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that upon further inspection, the front driver’s side b-pillar trim became loose. Several local dealers were contacted. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 50,000.
