Original firestone fr680 tires, size p21570r15 97tmts, all 4 tires' steel belts have separated, causing vehicle to shimmy, and would have eventually blown out. Consumer replaced tires.

While driving heard a noise from right rear tire. Then, when going home found out that tire had already separated, and left rear tire was starting to separate. They were firestone wilderness tires, size p275/70r15.

The left rear firestone tire tread was torn from the vehicle, consumer had stopped on the freeway which resulted in a several car collision, driver of the vehicle was killed when she exited the vehicle to try and alert traffic. (accident victim writing in).
Two original tires separated one month apart, I replaced the originals with a new set of four of the same model and size, one of these has now separated, 3 of 8 tires have gone bad. The tire air pressure was maintained properly, periodic rotation and balance and two alignments were performed with the latest set. . Tread separation on driver's side rear tire, causing damage to the lower quarter panel, trim on the panel and around the wheel, firestone 721 p22575r15, ten years ago the front tires replaced because of tread separation.
I had 2 new tires fail in 2 years. Both times, the steel belts broke, but I was able to notice them, and had them replaced. I even asked if they had some type of recall back in 1998, when the 2nd tire failed. I wish this to be know that the type of tires I currently have do seem to fail more then normal. The foregoing pages are incomplete but I could not retrieve them. The 4 tires failed at different times prior to the end of the life of the tires. On two occasions, two different tires, the tread separated and came off. The 2nd incident was after driving over 200 miles at speeds of up to 70 miles per hour.
