Tl the contact owns a 2015 Ford Transit Connect. While driving 65 mph, the passenger in the contact's vehicle felt lightheaded and nauseous. The contact was able to pull the vehicle safely off of the roadway. The passenger exited the vehicle and passed out. The contact exited the vehicle to check on the passenger and also passed out. The contact stated that through a text message sent prior to passing out, the contact's children were able to send emergency services to the location where the vehicle was stopped. The contact and passenger were transported by ambulance to seek medical attention due to carbon monoxide poisoning. The contact stated that oxygen was administered to both occupants and they started to feel better. The vehicle was previously taken to al packer Ford west palm beach (1530 n. Military trail, west palm beach, FL, 33409, 561-689-6550) due to a strong exhaust odor in the vehicle. The vehicle was returned without the contact being informed of what caused the exhaust odor. The manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 87,000.
