The contact owns a 2016 Ford Transit Connect. The contact stated that on various occasions, while driving at various speeds, the brushed aluminum on the steering wheel and the plastic around the radio and vents reflected sunlight, creating a glare which blinded the contact. A dealer was not contacted. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and transferred the contact to NHTSA to file a complaint. The failure had been recurring since the vehicle was purchased new.
