Two problems related to front seat belt buckle assembly have been reported for the 1996 GEO Metro. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The rear passenger's side seat belt buckle unlatched during a crash, causing the child safety seat, which was restrained by seatbelt, to fly across the vehicle. Luckily, the child was not in the vehicle. Please provide further information and VIN#.
The consumer was involved in an accident and the driver side seat belt did not lock up causing the consumer to hit the windshield.
