One problem related to tire tread/belt has been reported for the 1996 GEO Metro. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Had goodyear tires changed at 8,000 miles due to broken belts. Had to change them again at 23,000 due to belts breaking. Also wheels were chopping. .
