One problem related to speed control linkage has been reported for the 1997 GEO Metro. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was in a parking lot when it was started and put in gear, and the vehicle accelerated at a high speed and took off. Consumer was able to control vehicle without damage to vehicle and injury to consumer. Dealer notified.
