GEO Metro owners have reported 3 problems related to engine stall (under the engine and engine cooling category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
When pulling out or traveling at low speeds engine will stall. This defect typically occurs during warm to hot weather on a frequent basis. Dealership informed consumer that vehicle is not being driven enough, and that gas could have been contaminated . Consumer states throttle and distribution cap were sprayed and fuel injection cleaner was used frequently, consumer also states a new air filter was put in.

Ongoing / intermittent problem with engine stalling while at slow speed, idling while coming to a stop or driving down a hill. Vehicle been in / out of dealer shop on three occasions, and nothing could be found. Can NHTSA help in this matter. Also there was a grending noise when the vehicle turns right.
