One problem related to brake foundation components has been reported for the 1997 GEO Prizm. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
At 40mph, brakes engage and consumer is unable to accelerate. Cause unknown. Dealer notified. Consumer adds brake line, front and back brakes failed 8,000 miles later resulting in an accident. Brake pedal pushed to floor in order to stop. Master cylinder replaced.
