GEO Tracker owners have reported 2 problems related to brake master cylinder (under the service brakes category). The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving on interstate highway, it felt like my transmission had went the car would not move further after going through a toll both. Had car towed to nh chevy car dealer, found nothing wrong on 3 occasions. Personal NY chevy dealer found master brake cylinder had blown causing brakes to lock on their own, while also causing brakes to severely smoke. Took over 2 weeks to find problem & correct.

Oct17,1998, day after vehicle purchased, brake spring broke in right rear brake, dealership worked on vehicle 5 times in 11 days ,but could not get clattering noise out of brakes,. Stated they couldn't fix it. Agreed through bbb to have another dealership work on vehicle. In Dec ,1998 new brake drums and shoes were put on vehicle, 3 months later there is brake noise again,brakes won't stay fixed. Noon.
