Tl- the contact owns a 2008 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that after turning the ignition switch to the off position the vehicle would remain on and would sputter before turning off. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic who replaced the ignition switch and the cabin fuse box but the failures continued to occur. Local dealer bill kramer Chevrolet(2251 w. 23rd st. Panama city FL. ) and the manufacturer were notified of the failure but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 165,000. Jft.
Tl the contact owns a 2008 GMC Acadia. After turning the ignition switch to the off position, the engine would not immediately shut off. Also, the vehicle would not immediately start when turning the ignition switch to the on position. The contact stated that the battery continued to lose power after turning the vehicle off and water leaked into the cabin of the vehicle. The cause of the failures was not determined. The manufacturer and highly Buick GMC (3535 west loop 820 south, fort worth, TX) were notified of the failures, but no assistance was offered. The failure mileage was 115,000.
When the ignition switch was turned on, the car started, but rather than return to the "on" position, the switch returned to the "off" position and the motor turned off. This has happened numerous times, but only one time when the vehicle was actually in motion.
