GMC has a special safety recall on their timing chains but provided no help when dealerships fail to notify you before the warranty is out even when you are complaining. When driving the vehicle refuses to move and the rpms just go up. GMC tells you to go back to the dealership that failed to find it to get your money back. The passenger front seat airbag turns on with no one and nothing in the seat. I have been made aware that electrical devices can turn it on but this is not the case, I can have nothing in the seat and it turns on and dings while driving which is a distraction. As for the engine, I have a check engine light one which makes it where the remote start will not work. When we pulled the codes it comes back to the the timing chain which is a known issue because they have a service bulletin out on it.
My clock spring broke causing the cruise control to stop, my suspenion on my car is going out at 167,000 miles maling the car ride horribly, and apparently there is a problem with the wave plate in the transmission there have been multiple complaints about this problem but noone wants to do anything I was driving the moments these occured.
Error code popped up for airbag replacement, then went away. 6 months later it came up again. No recall and now I have to replace the airbag on a 5 year old vehicle.
As per dealer SUV needs a new steering rack and a new steering pump, seatbelt retractor not functioning so airbag not working-to fix items approx $2000 this is a 2009 with 75000 miles and should not need this type of repair.
