All the wiring under the dash has got the installation melted off of the wiring and can't get the vehicle to start or get any power to the battery or ect and the fuse box under the dash has 50 fuses in it and out of all of them only one of them out of 50 is getting power and to me it's a fire hazzard and I think GMC needs to do a recall on it or replace my vehicle I've got it in a garage now and that's what the mechanic has found out about is the wiring under the dash.
While driving or not the car has a display on screen on odometer of park assist off no code comes up other then this on display on odometer.
I have taken my car to 2 different mechanics for my a/c not blowing cold air and when it is refilled it builds up pressure and then I can hear it all spraying out from under the hood like an air hose. Also, my check engine light is on I have been told it is my camshaft sensor, I was told both of these were recalled and the GMC dealership will take care of me for free, I took my car to a GMC dealership and they would not help me and said my car doesn't have any open recalls and if there was they still could not help me because it was over the miles required. I do not understand how people who have the same year and model as mine with the same problems is getting theirs fixed for free but I was unable to be helped, I don't see how this is fair I am a single mom riding around in this heat working my tail off to do the best I can . I am a very unhappy GMC customer. I have been trying to get this a/c fixed for years and I can't catch a break!.
After I pull into my driveway and put my car in park and turn off the ignition the car gets stuck in park and wont shift back out for hours. Also when I'm driving the car states that the engine is in reduced power and the traction control is off and to service stabilitrak. This is a common problem with this vehicle of all years from 2007 to the present it needs to be fixed 6 deaths so far and still no recall to fix my car I dont want to end up being another death if you dont fix this issue.
While im driving my doors lock and unlock th wa bmy rpm jumps up to 5or6 causing the transmission skip gears then it will cut off. My vehicle has been at the dealershop since June 5th. They replaced so many things on it including the transmission and when I picked it up on 7-27-18 while on 95 my truck did the same thing, scariest thing ive ever dealt with causing me to have to go to the side of the road cause my doors locked and unlocked rpm jumped to 6 and smelled like something was burning and it cut off.
My check engine light came on and I thought it was the gas cap as it continued to go on and off. I had someone check the codes and it came back with p0017 and p0008. In addition now the a/c button won't stay on. It blinks then turns off. I've read numerous complaints about the same problems from other owners and that GMC will not honor their poor manufacturer workmanship. Is anyone helping the consumer?.
Water leak into the ac- blower fan, the major safety issue here is the front defroseter wont be working simply cause the fan stops working due to it being submerged in water. This issue has been noted by many users and requires investigation, I believe. . Read more...
The evaporator core on my and many other GMC is prone to failure. From my research it is not if this part is going to fail but when. The part itself it not very expensive but the way vehicle is designed causes this to be a $2000. 00+ repair. Once the part fails the temperature in your vehicle soars so high that it makes the vehicle undrivable. You can no longer regulate the temperature and get the heat directly off the engine. The metal parts around any of the vents become hot to the touch. We have been forced to have our children sit in the back so that they don't touch the vents. Since this part fails so frequently they should recall it to replace it in all GMC trucks.
Current recall states: "the affected vehicles, equipped with the power liftgate option, have gas struts that hold the power liftgate up when open. These struts may prematurely wear and the open liftgate may suddenly fall. " my vehicle is currently having this problem. The back lift gate will open and then with great force closes down quickly. This is an extreme safety concern as I was struck by it on Monday 10/26/2015 when the problem initially occurred. After speaking with GMC there is currently no resolve. This is a huge safety concern as I have two young children, and no resolution is not acceptable.
I walked out to the back side of my car to get my daughters bag to drop her off at the babysitter's have my toddler in hands the lift gate starts to close very fast I tried to reach for the touch pad to close it but did not work it started to go up and down very rapidly hitting myself and my daughter I pushed my daughter inside the SUV to protect her from getting hit and I ducked to pull out of the way it did not stop it never fully closed just stoped at 80% and opened again.
My husband and I purchased a 2010 GMC Acadia in July 2012. Since we've had the vehicle we have already had to replace the water pump which fortunately it was covered under warranty. But now the ac in the vehicle has stopped working. The technician did a black light testing of the ac and it revealed large areas of ultra-violet dye covering the ac hoses and surrounding area. They recharged a small amt of r-134a freon into the system to help pinpoint the leak to the suction and discharge hoses which have blown. When they checked on ordering the hoses, these hoses are on backorder which leads me to believe they have been having numerous problems with these hoses. Now we're looking at being out $700 for a vehicle that is only 3 yrs old.
