The transmission slips. When you start the vehicle it sometimes starts in the wrong gear and needs to be shut off an restarted, otherwise it runs on too many rpm. At times when pushing on the gas, after a stop at a light, it does not move for a while. When it does move it jerks and abruptly starts. The running day head lamp overheats and burns out the light bulb, causing it to explode.
The abs and the traction control light came on all of sudden when I was driving down the interstate and it just stays on.

My front daytime light starting going of and on and then stopped-working and when it was checked by the GMC dealer they found that the light frame has been melted and it would not hold a light. They would not fix it unless I payed $1,100 which I would not do. Called GMC and three times and each time they said they would call me back which they did not do. I called back again and without even talking to me said I agreed to pay part of the cost which I did not do. I am left with an unsafe SUV.
Have to replace low beam lights every 3-4 months. Lights burn out. Have tried multiple brands all from advanced auto parts. This has been going on for 4 years.
The driver's side low beam light kept going off and on. A week later I pulled the bulb to find the wire connector melted. I called GMC and found out they do not make the pigtail and I would have to replace the whole wire harness for all of the lights. I checked on Acadia forum. Net and seen where GMC Acadia has had this issue since 2008 and have done nothing about it. I will be checking for after market places to get a pigtail for the assembly, but it is my belief that if GMC would have manufactured this correctly, there wouldn't be an issue.
