Tl- the contact owns a 2011 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while attempting to shut the vehicle off the shifter would not switch to the park position and the ignition key could not be removed from the ignition switch causing the engine to continue to run. The cause of the failure was not diagnosed or repaired and manufacturer was not notified of the failure. The local dealer bill christin Chevrolet 7112 michigan Ave, saline mi. 2011 GMC Acadia. Consumer writes in regards to vehicle ignition switch issues. The consumer stated the ignition shut off, as her father was driving. He was able to move off the interstate, put the vehicle in neutral and re-started the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to the dealer. However, they were unable to find anything wrong.
