The contact owns a 2014 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that while driving at an undetermined speed, the fuel gauge was not registering the proper amount of fuel in the vehicle. The fuel warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the failure was due to the electrical system. The vehicle was not repaired. The vehicle was taken to another local dealer, reliable Buick GMC (400 automall dr, roseville, CA 95661) where it was diagnosed with an electrical and fuel system failure. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and referred her to NHTSA hotline for assistance. The contact stated the failure was related to NHTSA campaign number: 14v223000 (electrical system, fuel system, gasoline). The approximate failure mileage was 105,294.
2013 GMC Acadia. Has problem with the fuel gauge not accurately displaying correct amount of fuel. The consumer stated the fuel gauge was 1/4 gull. After driving less than five miles, the low range warning displayed on the dashboard and the gauge needle was at empty.
