Starting vehicle after 10 hours of vehicle not running, the vehicle cranks/has a delayed start for approximately 4 to 8 seconds. Battery, alternator and start was check and all was in working order. I was told the issue may be a defective fuel pump, due to the engine losing fuel pressure after not running for an extended period of time.

The car will not turn off and reports on the dashboard display �shift to park� even though the shifter is in park. Truck will roll when it shouldn't be possible. Also, unless you can get it to acknowledge you're in park, headlights and all accessories stay on. An alarm sounds if you leave the vehicle. It's a mess and although GMC knew about the issue in mid 2018, refuses to fix it without payment. This should be a mandatory recall.

I attempt to place my Acadia into park and power down my vehicle only to get a "shift to park" error message. I am unable to power down my vehicle and not fully park my vehicle even though I have parked it. This occurs daily and has occured 15-20 times in 1 attempt to park. I have to attempt to turn car back "on" and then put car into drive or reverse driving about a foot or so than attempt to repark my vehicle. Only to have to repeat this step over and over til it finally disappears. GMC customer service associate claims they are unaware of the issue. Of course this issue only occurred after my vehicle warranty expired.

When shutting down the vehicle a "shift to park" message appears on the console and the electrical system does not shut down. In order to clear the problem, the vehicle must be restarted and the shifter moved between gears and back to park, sometimes several time before successfully shutting down. Dealer said that even though the car had only 35000 miles on it, it wasn't covered under warranty as the vehicle had been in service more that 36 months. Charged me $590. 00 to replace the shifter assembly. Opened a case with GMC, but they declined to do anything about it.

Between 1300-1500 rpm there is a hesitation for acceleration. It seems the transmission shudders at this rpm at different speeds. This will be the second time the vehicle has been to the dealership with this complaint. The 1st time this occurred the technician reported the car was several bulletins behind and was brought current. This did not resolve the issue. If anything the issue became more noticeable. A brake sensor and gas pedal assembly have also been replaced due to defect.

Tl-the contact owns a 2017 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that when she attempted to park her vehicle it would not shut off. The engine would continue to run for at least 20 to 30 minutes. . The dealer king o'rourke Buick GMC 756 smithtown bypass #102, smithtown, NY 1178 631-482-7312 acknowledged the issue and that the vheicle was under warranty. They then offered to come pick up the vehicle but called back later and stated that the bumper to bumper warranty had expired. They were going to charge for the repair and diagnostic tests. The manufacturer had not been contacted yet. The failure mileage was 40,000. Tf.

Shift to park problem, the dealer tried fixing it 3 times now and having a problem with the wheel. When sometimes turning the car. I can feel something is like stock on tge wheel making me feel like the wheel is gonna get off. I trued contacting the dealer and chevy office for a buyback but they aren't approving it cos they said I dont have enough reason for them to approve it. Even tho I keep telling them I am not gonna wait for anything bad to happen since I have a 5 month old baby with me. Tge obly thing they suggesting is having it checked. And that's it.

When I’m driving a warning comes on my dic screen that says “action required steering assist is reduced drive with care”. The ac does not work and the temp gauge goes to cold with the radiator fan blowing at full speed. My car has done this since I purchased it used in 2019 and when I call dealer they say there is no recall and $1200-1800 to replace a sensor and thermostate. I have not had the issue fixed yet.

Vehicle states, �shift to park,� when trying to turn off engine when it is already in park. Turn vehicle back on and have to shift multiple times out and then back into park before car will recognize it is in fact in park to shut down entire engine. Have replaced battery once already. Vehicle is stationary and foot is on break when trying to turn car off. Has been happening since purchase but, just got fed up with it.

Tl-the contact owns a 2017 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the vehicle will not shut off and run for hours. Eventually the internal system will recognize that the vehicle was in park and finally turn off. The manufacturer had not done anything to address the issue but they did issue a technical service bulletin number: 18-na-297 issued on 12/13/18. The contact had called numerous dealers across the country to try to buy the part mentioned in the service bulletin and the manufacturer but the part was still on back order. The part necessary to fix the issue was the transmission shifter assembly number: 13528228. The cost of part was under $150. The contact was out of her initial warranty. The failure mileage was 47,500. Tf.

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Acadia. The contact stated that the key fob was inoperable. The vehicle failed to start. The contact stated that the vehicle spontaneously locked. The contact was able to start the vehicle however, the vehicle failed to move. The vehicle was taken four times to the local dealer where it was diagnosed that the side blind spot module needed to be repaired. Additionally, the inter system malfunctioned. The vehicle was repaired; however, the failure recurred. The manufacturer was notified but no additional assistance was provided. The failure mileage was approximately 38,538.

The contact owns a 2017 GMC Acadia. The contact stated the vehicle failed to acknowledge when the gear shifter was placed in the park position causing the battery to become drained. Additionally, the contact was unable to turn off the vehicle with the gear shifter in neutral. Randy wise Buick GMC (2530 owen rd, fenton, mi 48430, (810)936-4300 stated that the warranty was expired and there was no recall on the vehicle. The vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was contacted and informed of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 36,000.

Truck constantly fails to start. Keyfob not recognized. Computer system crashes, rear air vents fall out. Faulty gas tank and gas line. Cannot fill up gas tank past 1/2 a tank. Been happening since inception and is constantly in and out of service for the same issues over the past year. Not being able to start the truck is a safety hazard to me and my family. There needs to be an alternate way to start the truck should the computer system crash.
