Rearview System Braking Problems of GMC Acadia

Unknown. Brakes still squeaking after getting them changed with the bulletin notice. Engine surges and idles rough- dealership could not diagnose. Not accelerating randomly, pedal goes in and it does not engage. Gas tank not filling up all the way. Rear cross tracking warning turned off when it is not turned off. Ac smells rotten and musty.

Side detection malfunction message on dash. Blind spot and cross traffic alerts not working. Vehicle has a blind spot on the driver's side and without this alert, I have found that vehicles appear to not be there but actually which causes issues with merging traffic and lane changes leading to potential collisions. Dealer replaced the side detection modules under warranty and special policy because of water intrusion into the modules. This exact same symptoms and parts have occurred and replaced 5 times, and a 6th is currently needed. All work was performed exclusively at gmac dealer and vehicle is accident free. Gm issued a special policy that covered this specific repair, and the vehicle now needs to it done a 6th time and gm has refused to assist saying vehicle is out of special policy. I have requested that gm inspect the vehicle but no response. I contacted gm and they declined assistance. I currently have the feature turned off because it was providing an error message on the dash and false alerts. I don't believe that gm actually has a long-term fix for this safety issue. Original set of sensors - 0 miles - 2nd set of sensors - 5,894 miles - 2/2018 3rd set of sensors - 17,078 miles - 5/2019 4th set of sensors - 32,546 miles - 4/2021 5th set of sensors - 45,463 miles - 3/2023 6th set of sensors - 64,335 miles - 3/2025.

I owned a 2019 GMC Acadia denali with surround vision system (rear camera). In December 2023, my rear camera went out and almost caused me to hit someone while backing up. I don't totally depend on the rear camera when backing, but this time when I turned around to look if anything was behind me I didn't see no one. I took my vehicle to the dealer to get it checked out and to repair it. They found that the vision process module was bad. The technician found that the vpm had internal malfunction and corrosion due to water intrusion damaging vpm completely. Found code b101d for internal failure and not responding to any programming or commands. Replaced vision processing module at a cost of $1348. 90. I wrote to gm explaining the problem and request reimbursment. As of today, no response from gm. Thanks dl.

Blind spot monitor module corrosion, second replacement in three years. Warning lamps on and side mirror alert lights remain on at all times causing a distraction at night.

Center console display does not start when you start vehicle. Stays blank! this happens occasionally. Sometimes restarting will fix, other times not. There is no rear view camera when this happens. Not sure what else is affected, such as backup warnings.

The rear view camera was supposed to have been fixed during the safety recall in 2022, but two years later and over seven visits to dealership service repair shop, it still has not been fixed. GMC says they don't know how to fix it because they have tried everything and that because my warranty has been "out" one month - there is nothing they can do for me. My back up camera has not worked since the recall repair. What can I do? the car has been in the shop, who says they are contacting GMC service expert - but they are not communicating with me anymore. I have no car and no fix.

I got into an accident because my back up crap camera did not warn me that a car had turned behind me. Also when and backing up and a car is coming it doesn’t indicate the car is coming until it’s behind me. I’ve taken it to the dealer and they say there’s nothing wrong with it. Also there is no break when you come too close to something in front of you.

I have numerous warnings, shift to park, steering, cross traffic, this endangers myself and anyone else around me, I have read several class action suits involving these problems and it could cause my vehicle to pose a danger, I have taken my vehicle in to a certified dealer and they state there is no known recalls associated with my vehicle which is strange because GMC knows that there are thousands of vehicles having the same problem, did I buy a lemon? these problems are clearly manufacture related and in no way normal wear and tare. I should not have to compensate these issues when I paid near 40,000 for it.

Driver side detection blind zone, intermittently comes on, then after several days just stopped working, I replace the blind zone module located under rear bumper, it worked fine for a week and then shows service side detection system, and both sides blind lights on mirrors don't work, all this happened while the vehicle is running.

Since purchase of this vehicle in Dec 2020, the rear camera vision has been intermittent. I originally thought it to be driver problem however I am now told that there is a module that needs to be replaced and it is not available and possibly not being manufactured at the present time. As a result the entire camera parking assist system is completely out of service with no information on when the module may be available to repair the issue. I believe this may be a safety issue as backing up into traffic be it parking lots or roadways, this equipment is an essential addition to safety to other vehicles and pedestrians.

I have had the "side detection system" fail twice in 2 years. I see there is an open recall (n172097060) for this issue but this does not come up saying my vehicle is affected when I search the VIN. I believe there is more vehicles included than the 131,652 they is claimed in this report.
