One problem related to windshield wiper/washer switch has been reported for the 1996 GMC C1500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
This GMC suburban was recalled several years ago for windshield wiper failure. It was repaired in 2007 under the recall. The identical problem has recurred. The wipers are uncontrollable by the switch intermittently. They come on when not selected on or will not come on when selected on.
