general problems of the 2001 GMC C1500

I was backing my boat into the water,stepped on brakes and pedal went to the floor. The brakes were gone. Quickly put in drive and four wheel drive and pulled up ramp(up hill ramp so brakes were not so important used emergency brake to stop). The complete system failed,there were no hydraulic brakes at all as all the lines corroded.

The contact owns a 2001 GMC sierra C1500. While driving at speeds of 3 mph and attempting a u-turn, the brakes locked. He attempted to apply the brakes but they would nt engage as he proceeded to crash into a nearby tree. He was not injured and the vehicle sustained substantial front end damage. The crash was reported to his insurance company. The vehicle was not repaired. The failure mileage was 117,323 and the current mileage was 117,357.
