One problem related to front seat belt buckle assembly has been reported for the 2001 GMC C2500. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
While driving consumer applied the brakes and pedal went to the floor. Consumer was unable to maintain control of the vehicle and it hit a truck head on. Upon impact, both frontal air bags did not deploy. Driver 's side seat belt broke loose , and the driver was ejected from the vehicle. Driver sustained head, back and leg injuries, and was medivaced by helicopter to a hospital. Vehicle was towed and totaled by the insurance company.
