The contact referred to the owner's manual that stated the brake lights switch and the cruise control are connected by the same wiring. The vehicle was not inspected by a dealer, but the dealer was alerted. There is a NHTSA recall # 06v139000 regarding the brake lights. The VIN was not included in the recall.
