GMC admits that there is a major problem with the 5 cylinder motor. They know that there is documented evidence with the cylinder head leaking air, causing trouble with idle, and truck speeds, but they refuse to produce a recall even after allthe money that is dished out for this truck. The truck will go died at stop signs and is in constant misfire state while driving down the interstate, not to mention the gas mileage that is wasted because of this issue. !!! my VIN number is [xxx]. Truck has 142000 miles now and is constantly going dead when the wheels are turned hard, or just sitting at stop signs or red lights. !!! information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6).
My truck is failing to start at intermittent times. Have checked the starter and alternator but the lights work and the battery checks out fine. After about 15 minutes the truck will start and run normally. I had the fuel pump changed as I was told this was the problem but the problem persisted. I changed the fuel pump again thinking I received a defective fuel pump but I am still having the same starting issues. I have reset the computer in the truck hoping this would help but it has not. This starting issue occurs about every day and usually when I need the truck the most (I. E. To and from work) please help with any suggestions or solutions you may have!.
Engine will not start at variable times, had engine scope it show some kind of electrical problem, but could not pinpoint where. Turn on key and every thing is dead, had battery check it is ok. Purchased new 2004 Canyon and have only 13,000 miles on it, a darn bumper. Need help.
