Radio/tape Cd Player Problems of GMC Canyon

Truck has starting issues when shopping or getting gas. Entire truck system goes dead. Truck has to sit for 10 minutes or so. Then out of the blue all the systems in truck will start working. This affects the all door locks, power seats, power windows, radio, instrument panel, ignition switch all interior lights and all exterior lights headlights, all turn signals, all windshield wipers, in short all electrical components including automatic transmission gear shift. This happens warning reason for this occurrence.

Takata recall airbag light is on . Truck will shut down when the truck is going down the road at 60 miles an hour less or more. When you start the truck it shuts off again. About three to four times a week my vehicle will not start and I have to remove the key wait ten to thirty minutes reinsert the key then the truck will start. Several times a week I must shake the key to get the dash board and radio to work therefore allowing the vehicle to operate, tho the vehicle switch has not been recalled, although several other GMC vehicles have.

About 3-4 days per week the truck will not start. We have to take the key out of the ignition and let the truck sit for around 10 min. And then the truck will start, or if it does start the components on the dash and the radio does not work and we have to wiggle the switch to get it to work.

2006 GMC Canyon. Consumer writes in regards to brake control module malfunction and other problems with vehicle . The consumer stated the abs light illuminated, due to the failure of the brake control module. The blower motor resistor had to be replaced, because the fan knob of the climate control would only work on one setting. The left front wheel bearing, cd player, heater and front grill were replaced.
