The back seat is not secured tightly. When the bottom seat is down, and should be locked, there is 3-4 inches of play when lifting up on the bottom seat. It does not seem to lock properly. I told the dealership about it, and they compared it to another vehicle on the lot that did the same thing. They did not seem concerned, but if a latch is defective, anyone in the backseat could be harmed if the latch fails during an emergency stop or accident.

We are always getting a code p1478 on our truck when we add def fuel in it when it is time to do so. We have tried to clear it out on our own but never goes away and have to end up taking it to the dealership to get it done. They said it's because the soot it built up. We have always used blue def in our vehicles. There was a recall on this system where they have to reset the system or a sensor. I don't understand whey this is always happening, the drivers seat was recalled once for it not being manufactured corrected. It fabic held up a few years when we got the few years when we got the vehicle and it is has done it again. We have asked the dealership about about another recall on the seat and they said they haven't seen one. We have tried to get it fixed on our own but no one have the fabic to do it. It isn't but together very well at all.

I was on dirt forest road that was not a trail, I went through a ditch at about 3mph and my side airbags blew. As a result the seatbelt pre tension device was also activated and the seat heaters no longer work.

Driver seat is extremely loose and they can fix it because they are all like this.
This is a new 2008 extended cab 4x4 GMC Canyon. The doors rattle all the because the rear doors are not mounted to the frame but only to the skin of the vehicle. This means there is constant flexing and vibrating between the two doors and the door frame. This vehicle has been to the dealer 4 times in the month I've owned it and they say "that's just the way it is". There is also an intermittent knock in the rt front of the vehicle that the dealer can't find. Finally the drivers side seat material is having to be replaced because of wear and stretching and this vehicle only has 500 miles on it.

My complaint is that in my 2004 GMC Canyon extended cab. It doesn't come with a passenger air bag on-off switch. My 6 year old child has to sit in the fold down seat in the back. The problem with this is the seats have no head rest so when she is properly belted in with the use of a booster seat it puts her head 3 inches from the glass of the rear window. The shape and size of the seat doesn't allow for the use of a larger style booster seat. She has already hit her head once on the side during a sudden turn to avoid an other car but if I am ever rear ended she will definitely hit the glass because of no head rest.
