One problem related to brake fluid leak has been reported for the 1996 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The vehicle was placed in the park position, placed the vehicle from park into drive and the brake pedal traveled to the floorboard, resulting in an accident. Also there was brake fluid leaking from the master cylinder which caused the problem. GMC states that there is no defect, however dealer, who is now out of business, stated that brakes were cause of accident.
