Starter problems of the 1996 GMC Jimmy

Three problems related to starter have been reported for the 1996 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Starter problem

Failure Date: 10/27/1997

While driving the vehicle stalls out and dies. The dealer has replaced the starter, the starter solenoid/the electronic brain in the dash/ the fuel filter and the fuel pump. The vehicle continues to stall out.

2 Starter problem

Failure Date: 08/08/1997

Battery, alternator, and starter have failed and been replaced.

3 Starter problem

Failure Date: 02/28/1997

Starter replaced.
