Two problems related to power assist brake vacuum have been reported for the 1997 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Consumer was traveling 40mph on highway and applied brakes, pedal went all the way to the floor. Dealership's mechanic told consumer that brake booster was defective.
Brakes went out while driving, booster went out and replace discs at 17,000 miles.
