Two problems related to engine and engine cooling have been reported for the 1999 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
1999 GMC Jimmy caught fire under the hood. No one was injured but the vehicle was destroyed in the fire. (ohio traffic crash report).
Vehicle stopped without any reason and was unable to restart it. This is a hazard if it had occurred on a freeway or other fast moving highway. It seems this is a cronic problem with this vehicle as there are several other complaints filed. It is time that GMC determine what causes this problem and corrects it. At this time the vehicle is still at the garage and I don't know what they say wil be the problem.
