One problem related to door latch has been reported for the 2000 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The entire car is defective, though it does not state it is a lemon. I purchased it used. I have replaced many major parts that are not considered routine maintenance, such a driver's door hinges and bearings, hood release cable, steering arm (twice) hubs (twice) the wiring system is faulty. I have gone through 4 alternators in under 2 1/2 years.
