One problem related to front suspension leaf spring u-bolt has been reported for the 2000 GMC Jimmy. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
The entire car is defective, though it does not state it is a lemon. I purchased it used. I have replaced many major parts that are not considered routine maintenance, such a driver's door hinges and bearings, hood release cable, steering arm (twice) hubs (twice) the wiring system is faulty. I have gone through 4 alternators in under 2 1/2 years.
