Accelerator Pedal Problems of GMC Jimmy

There are several recalls out on my model of vehicle in which my vehicle has the same symptoms but when I run a check on the year VIN it comes back with no recalls. How can I make sure that my repairs should be covered under the recalls.

Vehicle has a loss of power when accelerating. Vehicle doesn't respond immediately when throttle is applied. Dealer determined that problem was due to clutch fan. Dealer was aware of problem, but couldn't duplicate to find a solution. Existing problem has progressed since a year. Please provide more information.

Vehicle suddenly accelerated when idiling. Dealer has been contacted, and has replaced fuel injectors. Please provide further details. The heating system malfunctioned due to heating core failure. The a/c was not blowing warm air. There was a clicking noise from the engine area because the power steering pump was leaking fluid. The vehicle leans to the left due to torsion bar out of adjustment. Front left and right axle seals were leaking. Transmission was leaking. Back window had air leak. The rear wiper sticks due to wiper motor failure. Front end makes clunking noise due to ball joint failure. There was clunk noise when shifting into gear due to rear d-shaft and u-joint failures. The intake gasket was leaking and was replaced. The throttle sticks. The serpentine belt failed and was replaced.

When pressing on the gas pedal it does not go, and when it does it flies. Consumer almost hit a lady when incident occurred, dealer is aware of the problem, dealer can remedy the problem.

While driving the vehicles throttle stuck at 80-85 mph uphill, vehicle started to fly at the top of the hill. State trooper has on record, car was taken to the dealer, dealer was not aware of the problem, cannot duplicate the problem, problem still exists.

The gas pedal sticks.

The throttle sticks in the idle postition and requires considerable force to overcome. Sometimes the vehicle lurches forward when accelerating from a stop. Have spoken to several other owners who have the same problem. The binding appears to be in the throttle body assembly.

When vehicle is in reverse or forward the throttle sticks, cause unknown. The consumer stated that when gas pedal was applied to break the throttle loose, the vehicle lurched out or control, it is safer to put the transmission into neutral and break the throttle loose.
