Front tires developed serious wear patterns (cupping). Original factory wheel balancing placed 3 ounces of weight on front right and 2. 75 ounces on front left while the rear tires only required . 5 ounces of weight. The tires have been balanced three times by different places and according to the tires experts, the tires "don't spin well". One uniroyal dealer suggested I contact the selling dealer of the car and have him replace the tires. This is not a GMC issue but a uniroyal issue. After rotating the defective front tires to the rear, the rear tires now hum and the ride is terrible. These tires were poorly manufactured and even using heavy weights, cannot be balanced properly. Given the fact that my GMC Jimmy has a poor rollover rating, I'm afraid these rear tires will cause a serious accident if not replaced. (tiresize: p23570r15).

During normal operation of vehicle at any speed it is difficult to maintain control of vehicle because of a "floating" sensation. Dealership has examined vehicle numerous times, and replaced various components, including steering box/ ball joints/ idler arm, and tires. Please provide any additional information / documentation.
Consumer states that there is a strong vibration when the vehicle is driven at (65) mph. Not sure if the problem is coming from the tires or the drivetrain.
Tires replaced, due to side wall being defective.
I purchased 4 new le mans brand (made by and warranted by firestone) replacement tires for my 1998 GMC Jimmy. Thes tires are of the same size and have the same dot manufacturing code stamped upon them as do the tires involved in the firestone/Ford recall. While no falure of these 4 tires has occurred has the investigators at NHTSA deturmined all of the different brand name tires manufactured by firestone (and there will be many). I have seen no media information detailing the specific defect (what material or manufacturing process went wrong) that allows the tread to separate from the tire body. How can I be assured that my vehicle is presently equipped with tires that are not defective?.
Tires wore out prematurely.
