Two problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 1996 GMC Safari. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Vehicle was involved in a frontal collision at 35 mph. Upon impact, neither air bag deployed. Dealer and manufacturer were not notified at this time. Consumer stated that the right front belt failed to hold.
Consumer was rear ended and the passenger air bag deployed, and sustained injuries from the impact. Ph.
