One problem related to battery has been reported for the 1997 GMC Safari. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Battery that came with the vehicle is leaking acid from the postive power post which is melting paint from the inner fender, and possibly damaging lines underneath battery. Vehicle repaired at owner's cost, gm to reimburse.
