Front Air Bag problems of the 1997 GMC Safari

Two problems related to front air bag have been reported for the 1997 GMC Safari. The most recently reported issues are listed below.

1 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 03/02/2000

While driving airbags deployed suddenly and unexpectedly when vehicle hit a pothole, resulting in minor injuries. Dealer has inspected vehicle, and felt that GMC was not liable for the incident.

2 Front Air Bag problem

Failure Date: 01/31/1998

Air bag failure.
