Two problems related to seats have been reported for the 1998 GMC Safari. The most recently reported issues are listed below.
Driver's side seat won't adjust--stripped gears. Hood latch does not work--I have to pry it up.
Experiencing ongoing problem with a hard and sharp plastic connected to the driver side seat. Consumer informed this part appeared to be a guide for the seat belt, but not being used. This condition has torn driver's pants whenever the consumer was getting into the vehicle. But the major complaint is that it could cause serious cuts to anyone getting into the vehicle. Dealer/manufacturer were contacted and had no positive response to this prolem.
